Pulmonologist joins medical staff

Dr. Naishadh Brahmbhatt is the latest addition to the critical care medical team at Kishwaukee Community Hospital thanks to a joint recruitment effort by the hospital and DeKalb Clinic.
Dr. Brahmbhatt specializes in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine and will be working closely with other members of the medical staff in managing the patients in the hospital’s busy Intensive Care and Medical/Surgical units.
His medical special interests are intensive care medicine, pulmonary rehabilitation, lung cancer, and other diseases of the lung, asthma, and COPD. In the area of sleep medicine, his interests are sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and a variety of other sleep-related issues.
Dr. Brahmbhatt completed his medical school internship at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York and his residency in internal medicine at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. For his advanced training, he completed fellowships in pulmonary medicine at Southern Illinois University in Springfield; and in critical care and sleep disorders at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
